Photo order helps to create that special feel in a slideshow. If all the photos are just randomly stuck in there it seems disjointed or disorganized. Most slideshows go by chronological order. So for weddings you have baby-adult pictures of bride and groom either together after one title or separately after their own titles, then pictures of them dating-engagement. If it’s a slideshow of a singular event like a cook-off or a community event it could be the same way or it could be by category. For instance you could have it by family, friends, co-workers; or by each family the smiths, the jones, the silvas.

Photo order helps create a timeline of events for those who weren’t actually there for it all and lets those who were relive it all.

The songs in a slideshow shouldn’t be just catchy popular songs at the time. They should be meaningful songs that say something about the person or people in the slideshow. At the same time you shouldn’t pick a song so obscure that no one knows what the meaningful message is. The best songs are well-known and meaningful. For instance a good graduation song would be Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson. It has a good message and the song is well known enough for people to understand that message almost immediately.

Hi I’m Niki.

I’ve been making slideshows for about 8 years. I taught myself how to make one when I was about 14 and I got good enough to sell them by the time I was 18. Slideshows can really show people who they are or how other people see them. Slideshows should make an impact on the audience, whether it’s an audience of one or five hundred.
